ANTON FERDINAND is set to take legal advice over whether he should shake hands with John Terry at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
The QPR defender is reluctant to acknowledge the Chelsea skipper, who is facing a criminal charge of racially abusing Ferdinand in last October’s league clash at Loftus Road.
Terry will stand trial in July and has pleaded not guilty to the offence.
But Ferdinand’s advisers are worried a handshake on Sunday could be viewed as an act of reconciliation between the pair.
A QPR source revealed: “This is still a very sensitive issue and a serious court case is pending so that’s why Anton is wise to take advice.
“The best solution would be for there to be no contact at all between the two teams before the match.
"But the problem is the Premier League insist on both sides shaking hands before kick-off.
“So Anton, and maybe the rest of the Rangers players, must decide whether they should shake hands with him or not — and find out what the implications are if they do or they don’t.”
The FA cancelled handshakes when the teams met in the FA Cup in January.
