ASTON VILLA could turn to Paul Lambert if they sack Alex McLeish.

Villa Park bosses will review McLeish’s position regardless of whether the team remains in the Premier League.
A run of one win in 13 games has left the Midlanders just three points clear of third-bottom Bolton.
Tuesday’s defeat to the Trotters means Villa will end the season with their lowest tally of home league victories since they were formed 138 years ago.
Owner Randy Lerner and chief executive Paul Faulkner have publicly backed the boss.
But Big Eck, an unpopular appointment after managing rivals Birmingham, looks doomed and the Villa hierarchy have been impressed by Lambert.
The Scotsman, 42, has taken Norwich to successive promotions and guided them to a safe position in the Premier League.
The Canaries, who host Villa on the last day of the season, would fight all the way to keep Lambo.
But if they were forced to look for a new boss, Cardiff chief Malky Mackay — an ex-Norwich hero — would be a contender along with Birmingham’s Chris Hughton.
