Carlos Luna scored a hat-trick as Tigre rose to the summit of the Clausura with a 3-1 win overNewell's Old Boys in their top-of-the-table clash.
Luna put the hosts ahead after 16 minutes, but the lead lasted just three minutes before Victor Figueroa equalised.
Luna bagged his second five minutes before the break then completed his hat-trick eight minutes from time to seal the win. Tigre finished the match with ten men as half-time substitute Matias Escobar saw red in the closing moments.
The result leaves the two sides level on points, with Tigre ahead on goal difference, though Boca Juniors, two points behind, can go top with a win at Racing Club on Sunday.
In the day's other game, Ciro Rius netted three minutes from time to rescue a 1-1 draw for Argentinos Juniors at Godoy Cruz, who had opened the scoring through Ruben Ramirez in the 65th minute.
