Dominik Hasek
can retire but he can't stay away from the game.
The Stanley Cup-winning goaltender started retiring 13 years ago and keeps announcing his farewell from the game.
The last retirement was last year.
Or, now, it seems more accurately, his latest retirement since he's talking about returning again.
Denik Sport reports that the 47-year-old was in the USA to visit his son who is at Michigan State. But he also met with teams and there could interest in Detroit (where he won a title) and Tampa Bay.
"We are working on (a new deal) but I don't know the answer yet," Hasek told Denik Sport.
The goalie has been cycling and skiing as well as playing soccer and volleyball.
"Of course, my agent Rich Winter knows about what I want. But I don't want to comment on that any further. Nothing changed in my plans. But right now, I don't have anything in front of me. So I'm waiting. I think in June the decision will be made," Hasek said. "I know where I would like to play, but I don't want to talk about it. I think it's better to keep it between the two sides involved. It wouldn't be appropriate to publish anything right now."
