CSKA Moscow will need a final-day victory to assure themselves of second place in the Russian Premier League after being held to a goalless home draw by struggling Kuban Krasnodar in their penultimate match today.
The result leaves CSKA just one point ahead of third-placed Spartak Moscow in the race to finish runners-up behind champions Zenit St Petersburg and seal a place in next season's UEFA Champions League qualifying stages.
CSKA complete their campaign this weekend with a trip to Rubin Kazan while Spartak are at Lokomotiv Moscow.
Also still in with a chance of second spot are Dinamo Moscow, who are two points behind CSKA ahead of their trip to Kuban Krasnodar while fifth-placed Anzhi Makhachkala, who are three points behind CSKA, are at home to Zenit.
