As for the Oklahoma City Thunder? Well they turned out to be who we thought they were.
NBA PLAYOFFS: Spurs finish off Clippers
NBA PLAYOFFS: Sunday's winners and losers
NBA PLAYOFFS: Durant rising to the top
So how will that all shake out for the NBA Championship?
Is the title just between those three teams or are we looking at a June surprise?
Certainly Oklahoma City and especially San Antonio, playing with an 18-game win streak, appear to be the class of the NBA right now.
But ones that are not looking ahead.
"As for the winning streak, it doesn't exist for us," coach Gregg Popovich said. "We don't talk about it. It's not on the radar for us."
For Wade and James (40 points, 18 rebounds, 9 assists) combining for 70 points yesterday, Wade said "that's beautiful basketball when we play that way."
No offense to the Celtics, 76ers, Pacers and Lakers but most eyes are looking at the Thunder-Spurs winner playing the Heat in the NBA Finals.
But that doesn't mean that it is true. After weeks of playoffs who are you projecting to win the final series?
