Houston Dynamo came from behind to win 2-1 at home to Los Angeles Galaxy as the Eastern Conference side held sway over their Western Conference opponents. Edson Buddle gave Galaxy the lead after ten minutes but a Mike Magee own goal (38) and Andre Hainault (57) secured the win for the Dynamo.
Toronto
FC won the battle of the Eastern Conference strugglers 1-0 over
Philadelphia Union thanks a goal from substitute Danny Koevermans after
88 minutes to give them their first victory.
Eddie Gaven and Emilio Renteria were on target as Columbus Crew won 2-1 over Chicago Fire whose goal came from Austin Berry.
Brandon McDonald, Dejan Jakovic and Maicon Santos scored for DC United who won 3-2 against New England Revolution. The Revolution goals were scored by Saer Sene and AJ Soares.
Colorado Rapids finished the game with ten men but still beat Montreal Impact 3-2. Colorado's
goals came from a Jeff Larentowitcz penalty, Drew Moor and Jaime
Castrillon but they also had Tyrone Marshall sent off. Patrice Bernier
and Andrew Wenger scored for Montreal.
Alvaro
Soborio scored twice and Nat Borchers also netted as Real Salt Lake
defeated FC Dallas 3-2. Matt Hedges and Blas Perez scored for Dallas. Kris Boyd opened the scoring for Portland Timbers but Vancouver Whitecaps were assured a point as Darren Mattocks replied.
The game between Chivas USA and Seattle Sounders finished in a 1-1 draw. Juan Agudelo scored for Chivas and David Estrada replied for Seattle.
