ASHLEY YOUNG is confident he can star at Euro 2012following an impressive start to his England career.

The Manchester United winger has earned 21 caps in his international career to date, scoring six times and proving eight assists.
And with the 26-year-old expected to play behind a lone striker in the Three Lions' Group D opener with France on Monday, he is feeling in good spirits about getting a positive result.
He said: "I'm feeling confident after going into the game on the back of a few goals and a few assists, which is always nice and everyone in the squad is confident.
“If we can go out and put on a similar display to our recent games then I’m sure we can get a result.
“If you look at the two games we have had under the new manager, the organisation has been different and I think it has helped.
“The two 1-0 wins were good wins, especially with the way we kept our shape and got the goals and I think organisation is going to be important on Monday.
"It's about preparation for the game on Monday and I think we've prepared in the right way. Everybody's fully fit for Monday and looking forward to the game.
“I think it's always important to get off to a good start and, if we can, a winning start.

"Obviously, it will be tough but everyone is looking forward to it and if we can go out in the same manner with the same organisation and work together as a team then I think we will go and get the win.”
Young believes the side is gelling well under boss Roy Hodgson, with players communication well both on and off the field.
He said: "Everyone is talking to everyone else, we all speak to each other and, whether you are new to the team or old, if you have something to say then you can say it.
“We are a team and we want to go forward together and we are all pulling forward in the same direction.
“We want to win. We go into every game to win and we are thinking about three points, not about one and we're going into this game to win.”
England have been boosted by the return of striker Jermain Defoe, who briefly returned home following the death of his father.
Young said: "It was nice to have him back with the squad. He had to fly back for personal reasons, but I think the training helped him.
"Everybody was supportive and carried on the same way with him and I think that helped him."
