Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez scored in the third minute of stoppage time to give Mexico a 2-1 victory over Bosnia-Herzegovina on Thursday in an international friendly.
With seconds remaining, Hernandez pounced for the winner after the Bosnian defenders failed to clear the ball.
The
Mexicans opened the scoring before 51,240 spectators at Soldier Field
in the seventh minute with a goal by Giovani Dos Santos but Edin Dzeko
equalized for the European side in the 29th minute.
The
Mexicans next face Brazil on Sunday at Arlington, Texas, before opening
their 2014 FIFA World Cup™ qualifying campaign against Guyana in Mexico City on 8 June. They visit El Salvador for another qualifier four days later.
