JOHN TERRY has urged Chelsea to retire the No8 shirt in honour of Frank Lampard.
The Blues skipper admits he is “devastated” that his pal is leaving Stamford Bridge after more than a decade at the club.
Lampard, 34, is out of contract in the summer but could even leave Chelsea this month.
The veteran midfielder is free to talk to overseas clubs now and has attracted interest from LA Galaxy, Lazio and Inter Milan.
Writing on his official Instagram account, team-mate Terry wrote: “Devastated is an understatement.
“We should retire the number 8 shirt in honour of Lamps. #theheartbeat #hero #legend #hero #goalmachine #friend #ktbffh #cfc #chelsea.”
