PEP GUARDIOLA last night broke Premier League hearts by agreeing to take over as Bayern Munich boss.
The German giants proved a bigger attraction than Manchester City or Chelsea, whose owner Roman Abramovich had pursued Guardiola for some time.
Guardiola’s agent Jose Maria Orobitg said: “Pep chose Bayern because, of all the teams he had offers from, it was the best.
“This is not the team that offered the most money. He chose Bayern for their organisation and for the possibilities he sees in his players.”
Bayern have pursued the ex-Barcelona boss, 41, since last summer.
Guardiola appeared to confirm he was set for the Premier League after admitting he wanted “to manage in England” in a video filmed for the FA’s 150th anniversary.
But he will replace veteran Bayern boss Jupp Heynckes, 67, who plans to retire when his contract expires in the summer.
