Euro 2012: Uefa investigate 'banana throwing' during Italy v Croatia (BBC)

Uefa have confirmed they are investigating reports that a banana was thrown on to the pitch during the Italy v Croatia match on Thursday.
A photographer was reported to have seen a steward retrieving a banana and heard monkey chants directed at Italy striker Mario Balotelli.
Uefa told Press Association Sport: "We are looking into the reports."
Alleged racist chanting in the Spain v Italy and Russia v Czech Republic games are already due to be investigated.
A Spanish fans' group has said some of Spain's supporters abused Balotelli in their game with Italy. Czech Republic defender Theodor Gebre Selassie told reporters he "noticed" racist chants directed at him.
Balotelli said before Euro 2012 that he would "not accept racism at all".
More to follow.
