King Luis can wing top gong

LUIS SUAREZ should be crowned PFA Player of the Year — according to Liverpool legends Kevin Keegan and John Barnes.
But Kop boss Brendan Rodgers is still ready to shunt his top scorer out on the wing.
Rodgers will offer £12million signing Daniel Sturridge the coveted central striker’s role despite Suarez’s 18-goal haul.
He said: “I think Daniel’s best position will be through the middle with his pace.
“It is not a problem. There is not just one way to play 4-3-3. I spoke with Luis at length on it a number of times and this has been in the plan for a few months.
“At Ajax he played as a No 10 and wherever he plays he will find space because he is world class.
“Daniel is 23 and a wonderful talent.”
Suarez, who has 15 Prem goals so far and is just one behind Robin van Persie, has won over Keegan and Barnes despite last season’s racism and diving rows.
Keegan said: “If he doesn’t win Player of the Year it won’t be for what he has done on the pitch.
“It will be people looking at last season, the diving, the racism incident. But I would pay money to go and watch him.”
Keegan’s fellow ESPN pundit Barnes believes Suarez has the edge over RVP. He said: “Suarez would be my Player of the Year because of what he has done individually.
“Playing for a bad or a good team, for Liverpool or Uruguay — he’ll do it.”
