CHECK IT OUT ... Wayne Rooney in Manchester United's controversial new kit
Last Updated: 20th July 2012

THE new football season is fast approaching — and with that comes the launch of a full range of new Premier League kits.

Every club this term will sport new home and away shirts.
Nineteen clubs sported new strips last season — Liverpool were the only exception. And there was a complete overhaul in the 2010/11 season as well.
It is a far cry from 12 years ago when the Premier League charter pledged that replica strips would be released every two seasons to save fans having to blow their hard-earned cash.
For a time it worked. But there is nothing that legally prevents teams from introducing new kits every season and now clubs happily flout the charter's recommendations.
To help keep you up-to-date with all this season's new threads, SunSport has put together images of the new home and away strips of each club — with some third kits thrown in for good measure.
Rate your club's kit in our comments section below.

ARSENAL

THE Gunners have gone all French with their red, white and blue-sleeved new home strip modelled by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
But the purple and black striped away kit is the real eye-grabber.

ASTON VILLA

VILLA have ditched Nike and signed a record £15million deal with Italian manufacturer Macron, who will supply their kits for the next four years.
Darren Bent models the smart-looking new home strip below, while Chris Herd is seen in the fluorescent green away kit.

CHELSEA

ROBERTO DI MATTEO'S men mark their status as European Champions with a golden touch on their traditional blue home shirt.
Chelsea's away days will be all white in the stylish new strip modelled by Frank Lampard.

EVERTON

EVERTON'S kits will be supplied by Nike for the next three seasons after they ditched Le Coq Sportif in favour of the US sportswear giant.
Phil Neville shows off the blue and white home kit, while Darron Gibson can be seen in the all-black away strip.

FULHAM

FULHAM have gone back to the 1980s by adding black pinstripes to their traditional white home shirt.
And in a show of appreciation to their Dutch boss Martin Jol, the club have also released a new 'oranje' away strip.

LIVERPOOL

THE Reds signed a record £25million deal with Boston-based company Warrior Sports earlier this year.
And they have immediately made their mark by stripping back the club crest to just the Liver bird — last seen in the 1970s and 80s.
The home shirt is in the traditional red and yellow, the away shirt is black but it is the outlandish purple, orange and white third strip that has got football fans talking.

MANCHESTER CITY

MODELLED by club captain Vincent Kompany and Oasis star and City fan Noel Gallagher, the home strip features a black badge and collar.
The Premier League champions have also plumped for a maroon away strip which was worn by the club when they won the FA Cup in 1934 and 1956.

MANCHESTER UNITED

UNITED'S new home strip provoked arguably the biggest reaction of the summer with fans comparing the chequered pattern to a tablecloth and a tea towel — worn below by Rio Ferdinand.
The new white away strip is much simpler with just red trimmings and a Henley Crew collar.

NEWCASTLE

THE Magpies are back in Europe and there is an Italian feel to this season's home strip.
Smart new Puma threads make the Toon Army look more like Juventus than ever before with a larger offering of white to last term's largely black affair.
The burgundy away kit replaces the controversial bright orange change shirt, while a lime green third strip is rumoured to be in the offing.

NORWICH

NORWICH were the first club to release their new home threads for the season way back in April.
Errea have replaced last term's V-neck with a collar but have stuck with the traditional Canaries colours. The new away kit is yet to be unveiled.

QUEENS PARK RANGERS

QPR'S new home shirts will sport the AirAsia logo rather than that of Malaysian Airlines, which was on the blue and white strip last campaign.
The away kit is red rather than last season's orange and the R's have also launched a sky blue third strip.

READING

PUMA have marked Reading's return to the top flight with large hoops, a red stripe and the club's crest in the centre of the shirt for the first time in 11 years.
The away kit is even more striking with a blue streak on bright yellow.

SOUTHAMPTON

THE Saints return to the Premier League with one of the boldest kit changes of the new season with their traditional red and white stripes ditched.
But the colours have been maintained in both strips — red with a fine white pinstripe for the home kit, white with a fine red pin-strip in the away threads.

STOKE

STOKE have not followed Southampton in a daring redesign of the home shirt but the Potters do have a new sponsor for the first time in 15 years — Bet365 replacing Britannia.
The away strip celebrates the club's 150th anniversary with the red and blue stripes replicating the colours once worn by the Stoke Ramblers back in 1863.

SUNDERLAND

THE Black Cats also have a new sponsor after sealing a two-year deal with Invest in Africa — the not-for-profit organisation replacing Tombola.
Their kit is manufactured by sportswear giants Adidas for the first time after their previous deal with Umbro came to an end.
The home shirt is just a simple red and white, while the away kit is an interesting blue with turquoise trim.

SWANSEA

SWANSEA are marking their centenary year with this bold Real Madrid-esque home jersey — swapping the usual black trim on their white strip with gold.
Their away kit, on the other hand, pays tribute to their Welsh roots with red shirts, white shorts and green socks.

TOTTENHAM

SPURS have replaced Puma after six years and have agreed a five-year deal with Under Armour.
The first home kit from the US firm features an all-white design with grey trim — similar to the club's kits from the 80s.
The away kit is more simple with a traditional navy blue and white V-neck collar.

WEST BROM

THE Baggies have a new sponsor in the form of Zoopla after signing a two-year deal worth in the region of £3million.
The only other obvious difference from last season's home shirt design is that blue now graces the sleeves instead of white — modelled below by Peter Odemwingie.
Their away strip is a red affair with navy trimming — a change from last year's light blue offering.

WEST HAM

WEST HAM have stuck to their roots for their return to the Premier League, with Italian manufacturers Macron retaining the traditional blue sleeves and claret body for the home kit.
They also again opt for a navy blue away kit which has been a staple for the Hammers' change strips in recent years.

WIGAN

AFTER two stripeless seasons, the Latics have resorted back to the blue and white on the front of the shirt for the forthcoming campaign.
The away strip sees Wigan back in black for the third time in the top flight with bright yellow trim and logos.
