ANDY MURRAY reckons the Olympics has come at just the right time.
Just three weeks after the Brit No 1 saw his Wimbledon dream destroyed by Roger Federer, he is back in action in SW19 busting a gut for London 2012 glory.
With Rafa Nadal crocked, Murray, 25, has a sniff at landing a big one — even though Fed and Novak Djokovic remain the favourites.
The Surrey-based Scot, who will also play in the doubles with brother Jamie, said: “It was good for me the Olympics came so soon after Wimbledon.
“It gave me an extra push and extra motivation to get back on court and not think too much about what happened. If the Olympics wasn’t here, I’d have taken two or three weeks off, but I just took four days.”
Murray cannot wait to play with his big brother.
He added: “There’s not been too many guys who have won the singles and the doubles — but I want to try and do it.
“Playing in this competition with my brother is really a dream you never expect when you’re growing up.”
Heather Watson, Laura Robson, Anne Keothavong and Elena Baltacha lead GB women’s hopes.
Robson said: “It’s great for this part of London, where I grew up, and the whole city.”
