ANDY MURRAY’S Wimbledon preparations got off to a nightmare start as he crashed out of the AEGON Championships at Queen’s.
Last year’s winner was handed a bye into the second round but he fell at his first hurdle, losing 6-3 6-7 7-6 to World No65 Nicolas Mahut.
The Scot appeared untroubled by the back injury he suffered at the French Open but he was simply over-powered by his French opponent.
Murray now has less than two weeks to prepare for another crack at winning SW19 without any other competitive grass court games.
