Laud and clear

MICHAEL LAUDRUP will be unveiled as Swansea City’s new boss by the end of the week.
The Dane has held talks with Swans chairman Huw Jenkins and will succeed Brendan Rodgers in a matter of days.
And that will finally trigger Gylfi Sigurdsson’s transfer from Hoffenheim to Liverpool.
Iceland schemer Sigurdsson, 22, was on loan at Swansea last season and was expected to join permanently this summer.
But Rodgers’ appointment as Liverpool boss sparked a change of plan for the player, whose £7million switch to the Premier League will see him follow the Northern Irish manager to Anfield.
Yet landing Laudrup will be a real coup for the Swans, as his footballing approach follows perfectly from the blueprint laid down by Roberto Martinez and Rodgers.
The former Barcelona playmaker has been out of management since quitting as Mallorca boss last September.
