These days it might be hard to keep Kobe BryantPau Gasoland Andrew Bynum from smiling.
They had to go to bed last night dreaming of scoring opportunities.
Two-time MVP and one of the NBA's greatest assist men Steve Nash is coming to L.A.
"This is what I call a family values contract," Nash's agent Bill Duffy told USA TODAY Sports. "He was seriously considering retiring so he could remain close to his (three) children."
The 38-year-old Nash, who averaged double-digit assists in seven of the past eight seasons, can also be a father figure on the floor for the Lakers by spreading the wealth to some pretty potent scorers. Especially Bryant.
But don't start shining up the championship trophy for the Lakers just yet. They'll have a difficult time getting by Oklahoma City and San Antonio in the Western Conference.
And adding a future Hall of Famer isn't always a magic elixir. The Lakers know that from when they signed Karl Maloneand Gary Payton.
So what do you think signing Nash will do for L.A.?
