Real Madrid star Mesut Ozil faces being hit with a £122,000 daily fine if he dons another pair of adidas boots.
The German international midfielder was spotted wearing all-white adidas boots, but without the iconic three stripes on the side, after ending his long-running sponsorship agreement with Nike.

The move prompted the American sportswear giants to take court action as it breached the fine print of their contract.
Under the terms of their deal, Nike had the right to match any offer made by potential rival sponsors before he can legally switch brands.
Ozil has also been seen in Nike boots while playing for his club and the 24-year-old and his representatives have denied they have made any agreement with German sportswear company adidas.

But a court in Amsterdam on Tuesday questioned Ozil's motives and found it unlikely that he would switch brands without another deal already being in place.
The court ruled in favour of Nike and decided that Ozil must outline any offer presented to him for the next 180 days, which would allow his previous sponsor to come back with a new offer in return.
Failure to do so would result in a £122,000 daily fine.
