RYAN GIGGS has been named the Premier League’s greatest player — and Alex Ferguson the top boss.
The Manchester United pair scooped the gongs as football celebrated 20 years of the Prem.
Giggs is United’s most decorated player while Fergie has won 12 titles since taking over in 1986.
Former Old Trafford star Gary Neville said: “Ryan Giggs will go down as the most successful British footballer of all time and I cannot see anyone ever overtaking him.
“He has surpassed all records in terms of domestic titles and he has incredible desire, quality and spirit. He’s just fantastic to watch every single week.”
Alan Shearer, with 260 goals, was honoured for topping the all-time Prem scoring charts, while David James received an award for most clean sheets (173).
Neville, Giggs and Shearer were also named in the Premier League’s best-ever XI.
