ALEX FERGUSON has warned Manchester City: Blow the title and you will never recover. (THE SUN)

FINAL MIND GAME ... Utd boss Alex Ferguson
Last Updated: 12th May 2012

In a last defiant mind game, Manchester United’s boss has piled pressure on Roberto Mancini’s men.
City are 9-1 ON to beat QPR at home tomorrow and clinch their first top-flight crown for 44 years.
But Fergie declared: “City have to win and it is an enormous challenge for them, because the disappointment of losing the game would be unbelievable.
“It is untold at this moment in time what effect it could have on them.
“It won’t be easy for them, because the pressure is on them and the fans will be putting the referee under tremendous pressure.
“On the face of it, you expect City to win — and so do I. But as long as human beings are human beings, you never know.
“You hope something stupid happens.”

United are level on points with City at the top but have a greatly inferior goal difference. Even so, they know that a victory at Sunderland and any slip-up by City will mean a 20th title will be theirs.
Ferguson feels City do not look to have been affected by nerves of late but insists all that could change tomorrow.
He added: “They looked as though they were composed enough at Newcastle last week. I don’t think any real nerves showed.
“But a nervous situation could arise if, with 10 to 15 minutes to go, City aren’t winning.
“The crowd could get a bit uneasy.
“It’s the last game of the season. It’s fantastic for the neutral, fantastic for the media but agony for both clubs — though it will be more so for City if they lose it.”
