Murray vs. Federer headlines Sunday's Olympic action on TV (USA TODAY)

Like it or not, NBC has to kick-turn away from swimming, which ended Saturday. That will create a little more suspense for prime-time coverage, which had been drenched in Olympic first-week swimming and gymnastics. But tonight has one gimme-putt for NBC: The World's Fastest Man, or at least that's what we'll call him, will emerge from the men's 100-meter final. All times Eastern:
  • Switzerland's Roger Federer, left, and Great Britain's Andy Murray will square off in a rematch of July's epic Wimbledon final in search of Olympic gold.

NBC at 9 a.m.: How cool is this? After their dramatic Wimbledon men's final this summer, Andy Murray and Roger Federer have Round 2 on Centre Court — but this time for Olympic gold. NBC changed this on-air scheduling because of the matchup — it had planned to air the action in a later time slot via tape delay — so the timing will be just like the live Wimbledon final.
NBC at 11:30 a.m.: The U.S. women's basketball team will try to extend its 37-game Olympic winning streak vs. China (3-1).
NBC Sports Network at 12:15 p.m.: A day after Serena Williams claimed her first career Olympic singles gold medal, she and sister Venus look to repeat their Olympic gold medal in the women's doubles final at Wimbledon.
NBC Sports Network at 3:30 p.m.: Weightlifting is one of those sports you have to at least sample during the Games. And this 45-minute live coverage includes Holley Mangold, the mediagenic sister of NFL lineman Nick Mangold, competing in a final.
NBC at 4:30 p.m.: Live coverage of women's track final in cycling, which produces some exciting TV. But be ready — coverage lasts only a half-hour.
NBC at 7 p.m.: Remember, NBC Sunday prime time starts early. Not that you'll see one of the Games' marquee events — the men's 100 meters run — very early, because NBC will no doubt air it late in prime-time coverage. (Not that NBC will tell you exactly when, you're just supposed to hang around.) Pretty big night, with coverage also including the women's springboard diving finals and the start of gymnastic apparatus finals.
