Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo WILL be fit for Champions League final against Liverpool, confirms Zinedine Zidane
Los Blancos were dealt a huge blow in El Clasico against Barcelona at half-time when their star man didn't appear for the second half
CRISTIANO RONALDO will be fit to play for Real Madrid in the Champions League final against Liverpool.
The superstar attacker was forced off at half-time of the Clasico clash against Barcelona at the weekend with an ankle injury.
But Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane today confirmed he would be fit to start against Jurgen Klopp's side on May 26.
Speaking at a press conference today, Zidane said: "Everyone will be okay for the final - Cristiano, Isco and Carvajal.
"Cristiano is the one who will be out longest, as it just happened two days ago. But he is good, he's walking normally.
"Nobody will have any problems for the final, they will all be at 150 per cent."
He will, however, be sidelined for the next two matches — at Sevilla and at home against Celta Vigo — before hopefully returning for the final La Liga clash of the season away to Villarreal.
SANCH GOODNESS FOR THAT Huge boost for Man United ahead of cup final
The remainder of the league campaign is now fairly irrelevant to Real Madrid, given they will almost certainly finish third.
Second-place Atletico Madrid have a better head-to-head record and would need to drop points for Los Blancos to overtake them.
Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo and the club's fans will be delighted his ankle injury is not deemed a serious oneRonaldo has been superb in 2018 and, despite the array of talent at boss Zinedine Zidane's disposal, he remains an integral part of the side.
The former Manchester United man netted Real Madrid's first equaliser during the 2-2 draw at the Nou Camp.
After an underwhelming start to the campaign, he has scored 25 goals in 2018, helping his side reach a third-consecutive Champions League final.
Meanwhile, Uefa announced Serbian Milorad Mazic will referee the clash in Kiev.
