Florentino Perez also in discussions with Gareth Bale over contract extension and wage increase for former Spurs ace
CRISTIANO RONALDO will finish his career at Real Madrid after all but agreeing a new deal, according to reports in Spain.
While Los Blancos have also opened discussions with Gareth Bale’s agent, Jonathan Barnett, over a contract extension.
Spanish daily, AS, claim everything is agreed between Ronaldo and club other than whether to deal will be until 2020 or 2021.
The Portuguese superstar is set to meet with agent Jorge Mendes and Real Madridpresident, Florentino Perez, on August 10, when returns from holiday.
The three-time Ballon d’Or winner looked set to end his seven-year spell at the Bernabeu after suffering a mid-season dip in form.
However, under Zinedine Zidane, Real Madrid re-grouped and mounted a seemingly impossible title challenge right until the final day of the season, before going on to be crowned European champions.
Ronaldo moved to the Spanish capital from Manchester United in 2009 and has won aSpanish league title, two Spanish Cups and the Champions League twice.
Los Blancos have also opened discussions over an extension for record-signing, Bale.
The former Tottenham winger’s current £145,000-a-week deal expires in 2019.
And Perez is ready to extend it by a year and increase Bale’s wages to over £160,000-a-week.
